Thanks for joining our collection, Nigel! Description by the author: I came across this design while looking for a historical depiction of the state flag of the kingdom of Prussia. I used the First World War Prussian model from the IWM (Imperial War Museums) collection, which consists of a black prussian eagle with its wings taking almost all of the space of the flag on a white background, as a base for my design. I couldn't find a similar version online, so I decided to digitize/vectorize it from scratch, while trying to keep the same elements the original design had.
