✒️ The egoist anarchist flag. Original creator is unknown (from my research), and the color is merely antagonist and not metaphorical. Teal is the opposite of red, which represents communism, with egoism being 'the opposite', so egoism gets teal. This is a misunderstanding of egoism though. Egoists, being post-structural, do reject centralized/formalized structures, and do reject "communal organization" insofar as it creates a sense of "duty"–which is seen as a "phantasm", an entity or idea which redirects one's self-interest–which would cause one to act outside of their natural self-interest. Finally, to complete the explanation, egoism predicates itself on the idea that every individual is acting in accordance with their self-interests in a "selfish" manner. The main crux of egoism is the idea that self-interest gets twisted by external structures which seek to 'hijack' it of sorts and redirect it to be within the interest of the structure. These structures are known as "spooks" or "phantasms" and egoists believe these are at the root of many of society's ills, and some examples of which may be a sense of "duty" as aforementioned, but also the state itself, religion, and various forms of bigotry. Egoists generally still seek a communalistic form of governance whereby people organize ephemerally and fluidly based on need, and disband when said need is fulfilled. People cooperate and organize together because it is in their shared common self-interest.
